Answers to frequently asked questions

How old do you have to be to learn yachting?

SERGEYTARASOV:

Anyone who has a passport can take the exam and get a license, that is, from the age of 16. But my youngest student is 9 years old. If there is a desire, then you can safely go to training even at that age.

How many students are in a group?

SERGEYTARASOV:

Groups of 10 to 30 people study at the theoretical part, but students come to practice in groups of no more than 4 people so that everyone can go through all the moments that can occur on the high seas or ocean and then successfully pass the exam.

How is the exam going?

SERGEYTARASOV:

tsuktsuktsukutsk

Is there a chance it won't pass?

SERGEY ARASOV:

Of course, I am very responsible about issuing licenses to students, because, first of all, the sea is associated with risks to life and I must be sure that when my students go to sea, everything will be fine with their team and with the boat. Also, the name of the examiner is indicated on the license of each captain, and if there are driving violations, the commission will definitely contact me with this issue.

But if you study all the theory qualitatively and work out all the knowledge in practice with me, it will not be difficult to pass the exam. I am always interested in having as many good captains as possible in the sea so that we can go on trips together as a flotilla.

What language is taught?

SERGEY ARASOV:

Training can take place in Russian, Ukrainian and English, depending on the group.

Can I skip classes?

SERGEY ARASOV:

All theoretical classes are recorded and if you can't attend, it's not a problem, you can watch it at a convenient time for yourself.

At the end of the lesson, you will have a checklist with questions that you must answer so that I can make sure that you watch the lesson.

What opportunities does the presence of international rights ISSA provide?

SERGEY ARASOV:

The ISSA international license allows students to rent a boat / catamaran anywhere in the world (except Russia, the USA and China) and go as far as 20 miles (~ 32 km) from the coast.
